lol, tonight's drama nite was pretty good, i guess.
it was quite boring, during the rehearsals; half of them, no, 75% of them looked and probably felt unprepared.
yeah. and the fact that i was damn tired no thanks to my infamous insomnia last night was unhelpful.
so i was lethargic, and finished reading like half of Sons of Fortune, which would have originally been completed in say, 2-3 days, considering that i only get to read at night after dinner after piano, because i have to work in the day.
not that i am complaining. the children are basically quite fine, just that sometimes they are a bit of a handful, whiny and all, but they are, as above mentioned, quite fine.
they also get attatched to you really quick. maranda especially kept clinging and hugging rachel, LOL.
but their work is really atrocious. but then again, if it wasn't, why would they be here getting help?
really retarded answers, like those i think i've mentioned before.

BUT anyway, the spotlight thing was especially glaring, and i do think that they could have done without it, although it helped block out the audience.
i was like half-squinting, and it didn't help my slight nervousness, even though there was not really many people; couldn't be more than 200.
yati was quite nice, we were talking a bit before the actual thing as well.
and some groups screwed up a bit, but managed to continue, like forgetting lines, forgetting to bring props backstage, etc. etc.
some of them were really super comical.
wilda's group, rp english group, was like quite retarded.

just thought i'd update today since i haven't in a long time.
choir yesterday was pretty smooth, a very nice respite from the previous practices.
i realised that sectionals was much better without a particular somebody.
this somebody, paired up with another somebody, spells trouble.
yeah, ms yin was in a good mood as well, so that probably helped things as well.
christel and i were keeping track of the things she used as examples:
1. swimming (butterfly stroke)
2. bowling
3. water pipe
4. hor fun
5. sotong ball
6. handkercheif
7. pubertry (?!?!)

lol! we were like laughing like shit.
then i realised that issac was like an asaph 2.
so we started deciding on "number twos"
was fun :D
then comm meeting didn't go as bad as i thought it would.
was pretty alright.
so for once, i left choir in a pretty good mood.
just that i was super exhausted cos i haven't gotten a full 6 hours for the past two days then, yeah.

and today started work with rachel at my mum's place.
although technically i started on wednesday.
the kids were really... funny sometimes.
there was this p3 kid, whose science paper i marked.
apparently, in her world, some species of parrots can't fly, "chlorofil" "phtosinthesises" to produce carbon dioxide, and the process by which plants make food is called "cooking".
i swear, it is definitely not boring to mark their papers.
there was another kid, doing another question, on those comparison questions where they give you two pictures and they ask you to state 2 similarities.
there were two leaves, both in greyscale, and the guy wrote: 1. They are the same colour. 2. They are leaves.
i tell you, SERIOUSLY, i laughed in the middle of the class while marking and my mum was like looking at me like i grew horns, LOL.
but i think it was fine, overall. apart from a few times where i had to like repeat and repeat myself teaching them maths problem sums (section C) and science stuff, for example, like poles repel, seeds require warmth, oxygen and water to germinate, living things respond to changes, etc. etc.
it felt as if i was going back in time to my primary school days, lol.

then i started angsting about leaving cchms, AGAIN.
ahh, my mum is tired of me talking about how i'll miss chung cheng, haha.
and the thing is, i think i won't be able to make it for the class chalet.
treat the 20 bucks as some sort of goodbye present, maybe. let them buy more food for the barbeque.

which makes me think about what i should give to my section before i leave, if i even give them anything at all.
yanning gave us photoframes, bao fang gave us ice cream sticks...
i dunno what to buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuy.
